Blu-Ray News 1/10/12

Hey just thought I'd let the special people who  read this blog know that Anchor Bay announced today that they were releasing the first every version of Battle Royale for North America. Its looks like a pretty sweet deal and includes the original film and the sequel. Here is a link to Amazon's order info for it: BATTLE ROYALE!!!

I haven't seen the sequel before and I want to see it. Heard its nothing compared to the first one but still want to see it.  I am very very excited for this. Are any of you going to pre-order this? Have you seen the sequel?

Beyond the Door

That tag line is just awful.

This was the first film of the night. I had never heard of at the very least seen this film, which is the same for almost all the films of the night. The people running the show introduced it as one of the first The Exorcist  rip-offs that flooded into theaters after the success of the film. And I truly believe that is the best way to describe this movie.


To give you a quick synopsis of the film. Happy family with Mother, Father, daughter and son living their life in San Francisco oh so blissfully. Then the wife, Jessica,  reveals she is pregnant to her husband. Of course it is possessed throughout the film. So her health and mental well being slowly degrades and it becomes more evident that she’s possessed in Exorcist fashion her face looks messed up and is puking green.

I am back from the dead

I apologize to anyone who might be reading this. I had a lot of things hit me at once and thought I was going to really stop doing the blog. I just moved, had some employment opportunities that looked promising and then were taken away, but I wanted to keep writing and try to indulge myself and in horror. I will keep writing and rolling out posts I had pre-written from a while ago. I hope you tell your friends and start commenting on these.
